has important implications for kicking techniques and preventing injuries to the foot and improve the overall understanding of the science of soccer CFD prediction of flow separation pattern behind a non spinning soccer ball
short stocky players can generate power on the ball a short fast strike contributes to kinetic energy as a square versus the linear increase of weight alone Also your head might be coming up on the strike if you look up as the ball leaves your foot you impart less mass and velocity ergo...
Help! Physics! A soccer ball is kicked with a speed of 8.50 m/s at an angle of 26.0° above the horizontal.?

A soccer ball is kicked with a speed of 8.50 m/s at an angle of 26.0° above the horizontal. If the ball lands at the same level from which it was kicked, how long was it in the air? (Neglect air resistance.)
upward velocity at launch = 8.5*sin26° = 3.726 m/s
using the equation 0 = v - gt,
time taken to reach max ht. = v/g = 3.726/9.8 s
same time needed to come down
so time in air = 3.726/4.9
ans: 0.76 sec

But kicking the ball by a player takes skill to perform the same kick consistently, so often the training may require many tries to achieve the desired results. Often, the training is time-consuming because of the lack of consistency of the kicked football or soccer ball. An important part of football or soccer is the defending against a kicked ball....
