Head Coach – Don Tobin
Don Tobin serves as the Director of Coaching of the Pinellas County United Soccer Club. Tobin enters his fourth season as the PC United WPSL Head Coach and holds a USSF “B” License. Tobin also served as the Director of Coaching of the Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club for over 17 years. Tobin was the Technical Director of the University of Tampa Women’s Soccer Team from 2007 to 2014. Tobin was part of the 2007 NCAA Division II Women’s National Championship Team. In 2000 Tobin was the Head Coach of the Women’s Semi-Pro Team the Tampa Bay Extreme of the W-League and served as interim Assistant Coach for the FC Tampa Bay Rowdies during the last two home games of the 2010 season. As a professional player, Tobin played for Everton FC and the Tampa Bay Rowdies. A native of England, he is married, has two children and resides in St. Petersburg, FL.
General Manager – Kai Velmer
Kai Velmer serves as PC United Director of Soccer Operations and General Manager of the PC United WPSL Team. Prior to joining AYSL/PCU, Velmer spent 10 years at Oldsmar Soccer Club. In his last two seasons, he served as the Director of Coaching for Oldsmar Soccer Club. Velmer’s college coaching career includes a five year stint with the University of Tampa where he served as an Assistant Coach & Goalkeeper Trainer with the Women’s soccer program and was part of the 2007 NCAA Division II Women’s National Championship Team. Velmer serves as the Tampa Bay Rowdies Head Game Day Statistician. Velmer is also part of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission Soccer Committee were he serves as the Community Youth Soccer Outreach Coordinator, promoting events such as the US Men’s National Team game against El Salvador in 2010 and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2011. During the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup games in Tampa, Velmer served as the US National Team Liaison during the team’s stay in Tampa. A native of Germany, he is married to his wife Rachael, has two children and resides in St. Petersburg, FL.
